Open Learning — American Music and Popular Culture — Jazz: Part 1 — New Orleans, Chicago, New York. The Dixieland style dominated jazz for the first three decades of the 20th century. In New Orleans and Chicago, Dixieland was the music of choice for an ever-growing number, and it was avidly followed in Europe. In New York, stride piano would "bring home the rent", while the increasing size of the jazz ensemble signalled things to come. ABC Radio National, Thursday, October 20, 11.05am.

Open Learning — Australian and Asian Music and Culture — Music Video. Music video is one of the most significant forces on the shape of modern pop music. ABC Radio National, Friday, October 21, 11.05am

Fictions — The Taming of the Shrew — World premiere broadcast of the Bell Shakespeare Company's production of Will's great comedy. John Bell sets the action on the Gold Coast and in the present.
