People: Muhammad Ali — Legendary boxer Muhammad Ali, along with his mentor Malcolm X, was to become a figurehead for the black and Islamic movement in the US. Controversy around Ali began when he threw his Olympic medal in a river after being refused service in a Louisville restaurant. The controversy was to continue when he was stripped of his title in 1967 for refusing military service in Vietnam on religious grounds. SBS, 8.30pm, Friday, January 6.
