Palestinian cause must not be pushed aside by the powerful

The latest campaign against British Labour Party leader Jeremy Corbyn centres around the veteran anti-racist campaigner鈥檚 alleged anti-Semitism. Among the ongoing claims, Corbyn is denying allegations he laid a wreath at grave the killers of Israeli athletes at the 1972 Munich Olympics.

As well as the latest attack on Corbyn, it is clear the allegations are also aimed at demonising all solidarity with Palestine and support for a genuine peace based on justice.

The increasingly strident charges of anti-Semitism within Labour, and the widening circle of targets, have by now departed from all reality.

Israel cosies up to US white evangelicals

While the May 14 massacre of protesters by Israeli snipers was occurring in Gaza, United States President Donald Trump was symbolically opening the US Embassy in Jerusalem. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu was there, heaping praise on Trump.

There were also two pastors present, one to give the opening prayer, the other the closing one. Both pastors were from the extreme rightist, white Christian evangelical community and are well known for their outspoken anti-Semitism and support for Israel.

France: Anti-Semitism slur used to attack the left

Mireille Knoll was brutally murdered in her Paris apartment on March 23. She was 85 years old with a disability and a Holocaust survivor. Police suspect anti-Semitism聽may have motivated the attack upon her; all prompting an emotional outpouring.

United Patriots Front invades 3CR

3CR Community Radio released this statement in the wake of the United Patriots Front's invasion of their offices on November 1. * * * On November 1, five members of the fascist group United Patriots Front (UPF) gained entry to the premises of 3CR Community Radio and filmed throughout the building without permission. In an effort to intimidate the station and its programmers, they then posted the video on their Facebook page. 3CR reasserts its commitment to progressive politics and our core mission of providing a voice to people denied one elsewhere in the media and in society.

Students and staff fight attack on right to protest

The University of Sydney has ramped up its bullying of students and staff who interrupted a lecture by a visiting Israeli colonel last month. Several students who took part in the protest were sent 鈥渟how cause鈥 letters on April 15. Others had been summonsed to interviews about the protest. Mia Sanders, one of the students who took part in the protest action, told 麻豆传媒 Weekly: 鈥淰ice chancellor Michael Spence is, once again, showing contempt for the university鈥檚 own charter by trying to silence dissent鈥.
