When he announced his bid to unseat Tony Abbott as Liberal Party leader Malcolm Turnbull promised a 鈥渘ew style of leadership鈥. The problem is that is about all we can hope for from the new prime minister: a change in style but not in substance.
鈥淭o change everything, we need everyone.鈥 That is the slogan of the People鈥檚 Climate March being held globally on the weekend of November 27-29.
The rallies will coincide with the upcoming UN climate talks in Paris and will demand a transition to a safe climate that ensures jobs and social justice. But the rallies are not just about appealing to politicians to make a strong agreement in Paris 鈥 there is very little chance of that happening.

Some 20,000 people marched through central London on Saturday, in the Time to Act! protest, demanding that climate change be taken seriously by political parties in the coming General Election.
Time to Act!, launched by the Campaign Against Climate Change, brought together a wide coalition of environmental and left wing organisations.
