On a blustery winter afternoon, more than 150 people gathered in front of South Australian Parliament House on June 23 to mark World Whistleblower Day.

Organised by Amnesty International and Adelaide for Assange, the rally heard from several speakers, including whistleblower David McBride and John Shipton, the father of jailed journalist Julian Assange, who called for his immediate release from Britain’s Belmarsh prison.
