Rising Tide calls Labor out on ‘bullshit’ climate policy

The national tour arrived outside Labor MP Peter Khalil’s office on Sydney Road in Coburg on July 2 with a truck load of bull shit.

Around 30 Rising Tide climate activists chanted “No more bullshit! No more lies!” as the manure was dumped.

Labor has recently approved Tamboran Resources’ expansion of its gas mines in the Beetaloo Sub-basin in the Northern Territory which will make meeting its Paris emission targets more unlikely.

The previous night around 100 people attended a Rising Tide information evening, organised to build support for the .

Their goal is to gather 10,000 people across 10 days at the world’s largest coal port in Muloobinba/Newcastle from November 19–28. The protest aims to stop coal ships from entering and leaving for 50 hours.
