More than 50 protesters defied the rain on April 27 to rally outside the electoral office of Deputy Premier and Minister for Regional New South Wales Paul Toole demanding an end to coal mining.
Chris Gambian from the Nature Conservation Council of NSW, Nic Clyde from Lock the Gate and anti-coalmining activist Bev Smiles spoke.
They also delivered a list of demands to the NSW government to: end to new coal exploration in the Mudgee district; stop the Ganguddy-Kelgoola (Rylstone) land release and no more coal mines in the Western Coalfields region.
Toole did not appear in person. The door was unlocked and a hand that was not his reached out to receive the list.
