Blue Mountains MP, residents, call for ceasefire

More than 100 people gathered at the former Blue Mountains library to call for a ceasefire in Gaza on November 12. It was聽 organised by the newly-formed .

A聽Palestinian-Australian, representatives from the Blue Mountains Peace Collective, Socialist Alliance, the Greens and federal Labor MP Susan Templeman addressed the rally.

The young Palestinian said聽she 鈥渄eeply appreciates鈥 the local support. Templeman said she agreed with the call on Labor to support a ceasefire. After the speeches, the protest marched through Katoomba Street to rally in front of The Carrington Hotel.
