CANBERRA — The daily struggles of life in the Occupied Palestinian Territories were the focus of International Women's Peace Service volunteer Kim Bullimore's address to a Socialist Alliance forum held on March 3.

Also addressing the forum was International Solidarity Movement activist Michael Shaik.

Bullimore presented many images she had taken on a recent trip to Palestine. Shaik outlined the new economic strategy being pursued by Israel, in which Israeli companies are moving their factories into the West Bank, where environmental standards are non-existent, and the minimum wage is a third of that enjoyed inside Israel's pre-1967 borders.
