SYDNEY — A powerful new anti-war documentary is being screened by Socialist Alliance. Not in My Name tells the story of the US-led "war on terrorism" you have not been allowed to see on tellie. It asks, "why is dropping bombs on or firing cruise missiles at innocent civilians not considered 'terrorism' by the Western military?
Not in my Name explains the background to the US attack on Afghanistan, charts the growth of the anti-war movement and offers a chilling insight to the dangers of US-led imperialism. Which country will NATO attack next? Who are the real terrorists?
Not in My Name features former left-wing Labour member of parliament Tony Benn, the internationally respected Australian dissident journalist and filmmaker John Pilger, radical British journalist and member of the Socialist Alliance Paul Foot, chair of Birmingham Stop the War Coalition Salma Yacoob, radical writer Tariq Ali, maverick left Labour MP in Scotland George Galloway and Bianca Jagger.
