BRISBANE —."Aboriginal and Torres Strait peoples have had a strong relationship with Â鶹´«Ã½ Weekly over the years", indigenous leader Sam Watson told 80 GLW supporters on December 1. The audience had gathered to enjoy food and entertainment while raising much-needed funds for GLW, at the December 1 dinner themed "Peace is Possible".

"Â鶹´«Ã½ Weekly stands for vigilance", on issues like the refugees and the war on Afghanistan, Watson said. "We congratulate you and pledge our support for GLW in the new year".
