A sense of community

Â鶹´«Ã½ Weekly recently received a very welcome donation from the Homeland Community in northern NSW. The community sent a cheque for $212.40, with a little note, offering the donation as a "tithe for your worthy paper". We would like to express our gratitude to the Homeland Community for their generous contribution.

Â鶹´«Ã½ welcomes all donations from community groups that support the paper. Â鶹´«Ã½ aims itself at those with a difference with the mainstream. We hope to present the alternative, to offer a different way of viewing the news.

Â鶹´«Ã½ can offer the service of communication. Through the paper, you can reach thousands of like-minded individuals and groups every week. Every entry into the Â鶹´«Ã½ calendar is a small advertisement for progressive groups from across the country.

There is no charge for using our calendar. We offer space to all progressive groups for their activity, often on an ongoing basis, and demand nothing in return.

Nevertheless, Â鶹´«Ã½ is forced to pay for every page it prints. We pay for the materials, the electricity, the maintenance and so on. The only way we can continue to offer our facilities is by continuing to receive the generous donations of our supporters.

So if you are part of a group that benefits from Â鶹´«Ã½'s coverage, your help to Â鶹´«Ã½ will be appreciated too. Â鶹´«Ã½ Weekly — it's your newspaper. n

You need Â鶹´«Ã½, and we need you!

Â鶹´«Ã½ is funded by contributions from readers and supporters. Help us reach our funding target.
