Regular readers will be aware of the running advertisement for Feminism and Socialism: Putting the Pieces Together. What you may not know, however, is that this is the most popular of Â鶹´«Ã½'s ads, based on the mail order response of readers.
Â鶹´«Ã½ prides itself on its feminist perspective. Unlike the establishment media, Â鶹´«Ã½ does not patronise its women readers or attempt to sell body image or proscriptive sexuality. Â鶹´«Ã½ is actively feminist and socialist and an important information resource for feminist activists.
Over the weekend of March 12-13, thousands of feminists marched to celebrate International Women's Day. In the lead-up to the march, this year as in previous years, Â鶹´«Ã½ actively promoted the activities in each city and helped publicise events through its pages.
On the day of the march, this was recognised by many of the participants, with up to 1000 copies of the IWD edition being sold at marches around the country.
Â鶹´«Ã½ is a broad and accessible forum for debate that is not afraid to address the ideas of the moment and to put forward an opinion. Â鶹´«Ã½ Weekly is green, left and feminist — not with one issue every year but with every issue every week. Â鶹´«Ã½ Weekly — it's your feminist and socialist paper.
