Why

This three hour strategy session will focus on Rising Tide's theory of change, strategy and our guiding social change frameworks, to put forward the case on how we can build a mass disruptive movement that has the strength and power to create transformative change.

We'll also dig deeper into how Canberra fits into this movement and how you can get involved in our campaign from Canberra.

Topics will include:
- Rising Tide’s DNA & strategy (inc. story-based strategy, momentum organising & DWUNC frameworks)
- Community organising using Rising Tide’s national database
- Important political targets and tactics in Canberra

Workshop with be located in the library room at the Polish Club.

This is part of the Canberra leg of Rising Tide’s climate justice speaking tour promoting Rising Tide’s next national mobilisation: a 2-day, 3,000 strong, family-friendly flotilla blockade of Newcastle port, the largest coal port in the world, in November.

Over sixteen days Rising Tide organisers will drive nearly 5,000km and host forums and trainings in the Northern Rivers, Brisbane, Adelaide, Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney.
