In recent months, Resistance's national resources have been stretched to the limit as we have organised one of the largest campaigns in our history, the high school anti-racism walkouts.
Obviously, we don't have wealthy backers. We don't have major corporate donors like Labor and Liberal, and we're not going to get $3 million from the Australian Electoral Commission like One Nation will.
If we are going to be able to organise effectively, we need more active members — our main resource. Resistance has set a goal of expanding its voting membership by two-thirds by the end of the year.
We're asking everyone who joined Resistance through the high school walkouts and since to commit to a more active stance. All those considering joining should now take the plunge.
At the height of the walkouts, Resistance launched an anti-racism campaign fund — one which aimed to match the $1 million state subsidy that Hanson's MPs would receive from its Queensland election showing. Many people around the country, inspired by our rallies, contributed; it's been a major success and a major boost to our organising efforts.
So we're also relaunching our "Anti-Racism Campaign Fund". If you would like to support Resistance financially, then contribute to the fund — any donation, big or small, is much welcomed. Donations can be made at any Commonwealth Bank into account number 2026 1006 3813.
