Refugees protested outside Labor MP Andrew Giles’ office in Thomastown in Naarm/Melbourne and immigration minister Tony Burke’s office in Punchbowl in Gadigal Country/Sydney on March 8.
They are demanding permanent visas for several thousand refugees who have lived for 12 years on temporary visas.
In Victoria, they defied police to take their message to the streets.
