The Land of Milk and Honey — As it enters its 21st year, Women Out Loud (formerly The Coming Out Show) presents the controversial story of Australian Defence Industries' munitions plant in outer western Sydney, the site of which is now being redeveloped. Women workers express their concerns for the site, and the contrast between their expectations on coming to Australia and the factory work they did in their community theatre piece, Ayesh Comes to the Land of Milk and Honey. The Kurds: Life Under Saddam — The first of three parts. The Kurdish people who live in northern Iraq have been fighting for an independent homeland for decades. Producer Gina Lennox talks to eight Kurdish refugees about life under Saddam. One wonders if the same weight will be given to the repression suffered by Kurds in Turkey in future episodes, especially since Ankara has launched a renewed offensive against Kurds living across the border in Iraq.
