Students for Palestine is calling on all Palestine supporters to join us outside the ABC’s debate between Albanese and Dutton to demand: Stop Arming Israel!
As Israel restarts genocide in Gaza, ends the ceasefire in Lebanon and escalates war on the West bank, we need to keep the spotlight on Palestine.
Both the current Albanese government and the opposition leader Peter Dutton have been firm in their support for Israel’s genocide. Albanese has outrageously refused to condemn Israel’s renewed genocide and claimed Australia is “not a major player in the Middle East”. Yet Australia continues to manufacture and send Israel essential parts for Lockheed Martin’s F-35 jets. Last year, Australia signed a $917 million army contract with Elbit systems, one of the biggest Israeli weapons companies in the world that is responsible for human rights violations in Palestine.
This protest will be a speak-out outside ABC Studios to protest Albanese and Dutton’s support for Israel’s genocide, and to demand Australia stop arming Israel.
