The next protest organised by Merri-bek and Northern Suburbs for Palestine will be on Saturday 7 September at the Bell Street Reserve from 10:30am where we will once again be marching towards Peter Khalil's office.
It has been more than 10-months since Israel began it's genocide, yet there is still little to no action from the Albanese Labor government.
Khalil himself claims to be a supporter of Palestine but has refused to cross the floor against his parties position and take a stand for Palestine and has defended the Labor government's position as "advocating for peace". Which is completely outrageous.
Meanwhile in the media including a recent interview published in the Australian Financial Review Khalil has criticised those standing up to Palestine as being misinformed about the history and has slandered protests targeting his office as being violent.
The protest will also highlight various pro-palestine candidates running for the upcoming Council Elections in October.
Merri-Bek & Northern Suburbs as part of this rally are demanding
- Stop the genocide in Gaza
- Visas for Palestinians seeking asylum
- Stop all Arms Exports to Israel immediately
- Sanction Israel Now.
