As we enter the 228th year of colonialism we as First Nations people still face colonial oppression at the hands of the criminal justice system, the child protection system, capitalism, and the ongoing ecocide on stolen Aboriginal land.
We invite you to stand with us to abolish Australia Day. Today is a day of mourning for our people and marks a day of resistance against the British invasion.
January 26 is rooted in colonial violence and genocide, and not a day to celebrate.
