Defence campaign needed

In the wake of the ACTU Council's disgraceful abandonment of union members and principles last week, the Democratic Socialist Party has called for a campaign to defend all those being charged by the Australian Federal Police as a result of the events at Parliament House in Canberra on August 19.

The party's industrial work coordinator, Dick Nichols, said that the DSP would give a defence campaign its full support and encouraged anyone interested in helping with such a campaign to contact him by phone on (02) 9690 1230, fax on (02) 9690 1381 or email at links@peg.apc.org.
