The rain fortunately held off as well-known Indigenous photojournalist Barbara McGrady's Deadly Sports Heroes photo exhibition was launched at the Peter Forsyth Auditorium in Glebe, Sydney, on March 26.

McGrady's large-scale portraits of Aboriginal sports stars, such as Ash Barty and Buddy Franklin, were displayed on the outside walls of the building, adjacent to Broadway Shopping Centre.

Nadeena Dixon gave an acknowledgement to country, and presented her music and dance to commence proceedings. Other speakers included Cathy Farrelly, Sandy Edwards and Blak Douglas, who played his works on the didgeridoo.

He also read out some words of congratulation to Aunty Barb from prominent Aboriginal activist and academic Gary Foley from Melbourne. The launch concluded with further presentations from an Indigenous women's dance troupe.
