COP26, the United Nations Climate Change conference, aims to get country pledges to rapidly reduce carbon and methane emissions in the next 10 years.
The Paris Agreement, signed in 2015, committed countries to try to stop warming at 1.5C — but it didn’t commit them to take any specific action when it came to emissions Australia’s PM Scott Morrison has gone to Glasgow to see what he can do to water down the targets needed. He is only prepared to talk about 2050 targets, not targets for 2030.
