Insight — SBS premieres its new national current affairs program, hosted by journalist Vivian Schenker. It promises to provide the widest possible coverage of contemporary Australian issues. The program will contain single issue investigative reports up to 30 minutes long. There will also be shorter reports, studio debates, profiles of people in the news and features on culture. The Hidden Hand — Zimbabwean writer and anti-apartheid activist Jeremy Brickhill unravels the facts about the apartheid regime's "dirty wars" in southern Africa. ABC TV, Tuesday, July 6, 11pm.
